I just got a salt shaker coffee sieve - large salt shaker like body with insert sieve sifter inside. After grinding, I 26.0 grams of light city-roast Ethiopian natural coffee, which I assume tends to produce more fines than other coffees. After putting ground coffee inside and...
In my third week, I've begun tweaking the knobsetting on my zassenhaus la paz coffee mill 169dg.
Finer than this and my pavoni starts to choke or I have to pull really hard. Is this acceptable enough for making a decent espresso shot? I really want to lock...
A friend of mine just got a Fresh Roast SR800, he loves it and, as a result, is getting more serious about espresso. He's been using his ROK grinder, but has a Grindmaster 890 that's basically just sitting unused. Do these have any resale value? It doesn't seem like the kind of...

Hello everyone! Espresso newbie here. I recently got a Smart Grinder Pro and a Dual Boiler. Loving the Dual Boiler so far, but not too crazy about the SGP. The grounded coffee falls into the portafilter in clumps when I am grinding in the fine settings (1-5). The clumps seem worse...
Looks like a no frills, relatively inexpensive ($329) 50 mm flat burr espresso grinder offering exclusively at SCG. With Eureka's reputation, this could be a great option for people just getting into the game or a reason to have both a conical and a flat  .
