Mahlkonig New Grinder "PEAK" is unveiled at china HOTELEX.
80mm cast burr set to make especially "Peak" the unimodal grind.
And added temperature transfer, so temperature is displayed front panel.

As I know, It coming at SCAA 2015, and will be given to WBC champ.

I'm surprised by the cast burrs! I imagine they have more objective data than we do, so it will be interesting to follow how this thing works out.

I'd be peeling off the red peak line thing the moment I got it out of the box, if it were mine.

Yeh, I think so, red line isn't quite pretty. I wonder about casted burr's cutting shape, too.
Is it looks like EK43's burrset?

very interesting - the chute also looks different to a K30.

I just found some more infos about this grinder in a fall 2014 issue of Barista Magazine. That might just be my next grinder.

There is some conflict between the two sources, one says 'cast steel burrs' while the other 'seasoned titanium-coated burrs'. Are they referring to the same thing?

I must say the Chinese one look like it may have been done by the local agent and not 100% accurate? I am sure uniform grind size in not a good thing in an espresso grinder??

The illumination feature is intriguing. Thanks to indend007 and Seb for posting!
