All agreed. I purposely bought a Pharos to tide me over until LW reveals their magic. Personally, I prefer a motorized grinder and think that the LW guys will get it right. If they astronomically price their grinder, I'll wait it out until someone manages to cross a Pharos with a conical Ceado. Maybe the ZR-71? It's all good fun to follow this buzz.Fausto wrote:Yes, I was enjoying it for a while too, and don't get me wrong, I still mostly am. I have my phone set up to alert me whenever they make a new post. They're marketing has fully worked on me - the hype meter is full! I'm ready for some details!
I have almost bought and HG One quite a few times, but I'm trying to hold out and see what they've cooked up. Hopefully my patience will be rewarded with the best home grinder on the market at a somewhat reasonable price!

Well clearly some folks here are put off by hype and hyperbole... Marketing. I would be more surprised if that were not the case. Life would be boring if we all nodded in the same direction.
Anyway HG one is proven brand. They didn't just pop out of nowhere. I think they've earned their place and their marketing strategy to generate buzz is both entertaining and particularly enthralling for existing customers. I own two HG ones. I liked the first one so much I picked up a the newer model as well. I have a feeling whatever they come up with is going to be good.

You're not always right, but when you're right, you're right, right?

Ehh, yeah they did. HG One literally popped up out of nowhere.weebit_nutty wrote: Anyway HG one is proven brand. They didn't just pop out of nowhere.
And Lyn Weber is not HG-One. For clarity, it's even called differently.

Part of an injection mold. It's not for a grinder part according to the description.
I will say one thing, LW is fantastic at getting people to stare at completely insignificant items.
I'm sure the grinder they are working on will be great. I just wish they would drop the juvenile game and give us the scope of the project and expected price point. I'm looking at dropping $2k on my next grinder upgrade. Maybe this grinder is less. Maybe more. Maybe it's something I would be interested in. At this rate I will most likely have pulled the trigger on some other product by the time they quit with the 7th grade tease marketing scheme.

Good day,
All I have to say is that their marketing strategy is quite effective. Lots of buzz about the "potential" product ..both good and bad. They also play on the "people want what we cant have" philosophy. I am not saying it will be worth all the hype....but that is when marketing does its job.
