Postby Juanjo on Thu Jan 21, 2010 5:12 pm

for me the "deal of the century" was when I got that 'awful work-horse' lever machine delivered to my work bench by the previous owner for $250 :D.. it make me lough every time I think about it.. :D

PS,
believe it or now was re-listed few times on ebay with no takers.. till I made my offer :P

Hi Juanjo, I'm interested in what's behind the cover you've added to your Major. (where the doser was) I wouldn't have thought there was too much space to get the coffee out of the coffee chute from the grind chamger and down to your spout while still being able to put a cover flush with the Major's body.

OK, I'm prepared to double that if you'll pay shipping. You know, for the work that you've put into it. And you still get my semi.

All I will say is I love my Mazzer Major
I especially like it with the doser now that I have made a doser exit chute modification

I still have plans to try a Mazzer style funnel but for the moment it works a treat for me

Hi Juanjo,

what differences do you find between the K30 and Major in the quality of shots? Thanks :)

Oton,

using fresh coffee both are top grinders..
I would lie if I tell you I can find difference in the coffee test using either..
I like my mod Major more but that's because I put my personal touch to it.. 8)

Interesting. :)

I asked you because all the comments floating around about the improvements between a conical vs flat burrs... More flavor clarity flavors, later blonding, more crema, thick mouthfeel...
