I would be interested, too.

It would make it pretty slippery wouldn't it!!???!! Maybe TiN or DLC. Then the question comes as to WHERE to get it done.spressomon wrote:Anyone check into or know about what it would cost to have the bean "hopper" chute coated with a DLC (Diamond Like Coating)?

There was discussion about static so I had a roast recently that had some very static ridden beans, a Sumatran Lintong, so I ground it in The Flat with a clear funnel to show how easily it is managed.

Ditto my experience with the conical.
Some beans have lots of static, others don't require anything other than dumping them in and grinding. It's the bean, not the grinder really.
I've not run across any case where RDT or WDT didn't take care of it completely.

I'm curious to know how it compares to EK43 and some of the larger bulk grinders for filter-type grinds. Did anyone give it a try?

i love this video. fun to watch that big fluffy cloud pile up then see how it easy it is to clear the grinder with the palm of your hand. thanks for sharingFotonDrv wrote:There was discussion about static so I had a roast recently that had some very static ridden beans, a Sumatran Lintong, so I ground it in The Flat with a clear funnel to show how easily it is managed.

Thank you! I like the grinder very much and love it low profile AND grind quality. Customer support is top notch too.
