Relax...
I've unpacked my fair share of new espresso grinders and it's not unusual for them to arrive with some coffee grounds from the factory test. Related grinder trivia: Grinders with a doser counter usually arrive with the counter in the low 9900's, presumably so the original owner will have the pleasure of watching it turn to 0000.
Mazzers have a durable multi-coat paint job, making it harder to spot the difference between a lightly used one and factory new.
In terms of performance, even a heavily (ab)used one will equal a brand new one once you've replaced the burrs. For example, lots of online espresso enthusiasts bought the old Starbucks (Tagex) Super Jolly grinders that had been abused more than most. I got one in a group buy and it looked like it had been kicked around a concrete warehouse floor. Even so, of the six we bought, only one arrived DOA. Replacing the bearings and burrs returned it to good-as-new service.
PS: How to evaluate condition of used Mazzer grinder offers some good advice to used grinder shoppers.
