Mazzer Jolly Electronic news or reviews anyone?

Postby thedane on Thu Oct 07, 2010 4:29 pm

Has anyone had a chance for some hands on with this grinder? Looking forward to news on this new grinder from Mazzer. And while we are at it, can we expect an upgraded Mini Electronic?

Thanks, Mads

The first deliveries should be out (beginning October 2010) and I have two on order, in black - I expect them to be quite compact with the small (320gr) bean hopper.

Sounds great! Can you update with pics when you get them?

Very interested in hearing your thoughts, trying to decide between this and the upcoming improved Mahlkoenig ProM (Whenever it gets announced, see other thread on this forum)

Thanks! Mads

I think that the SJ Electronic will slightly be more expensive (around EUR 1,100) than the ProM (around EUR 1,000) and while the SJ is built for the professional environment, the ProM is addressing the semi-professional user. I don't expect the output to be different to the classic SJ, but the handling will improve. I had the Robur E and the Elektra Nino (both doserless) and I know that the SJ will be different.

I have just bought the Brasilia RR 55 OD (doserless) for our office setup. Only EUR 429,00 and I must say that I am really impressed by the output and the handling. You can even click-in your bottom-less pf, press the dose button and that's it. Great value for money, but not a brand like Mazzer or Mahlkoenig. PM me if you are interested in sources.

Cheers,
- Malte
