Grinders are one of the keys to exceptional espresso. Discuss them here.

Hi Jan,
thank you - I have emailed Ben and no reply as yet. (not holding much hope)

Yes It would appear the kit simply consists of two spacers but I don't know what size they would need to be ?

if there is any other suggestions out there please ....... since I cannot find original parts either

From what I remember, the mazzer mini burrs are a bit thinner than the KA ones. It would boil down to measuring both, and working out what size the shim/spacer(s) needs to be.

It also allows for the fact that the holes of the two types of burrs are in different places, but that can be sorted.

Perhaps someone out there can offer more exact figures? Someone who perhaps own both types of burrs, or have tried a conversion?

I have access to a KA grinder (sold it to someone close by), but only mazzer mini e burrs, which is the same size as super jolly I'm told, and hence won't fit?

I do also have access to a 3d printer, so can try some tests.

Cheers
Jan

You could easily do it yourself using the method in the thread jannus posted! That doesn't look too hard at all and would cost you $50-$60 bucks, including the mazzer mini burrs.

I would also do as suggested and measure both burr sets to see what size shim you need to make, that's a great idea. It would get you really close and you can go by trial and error from there.

So why not take it on yourself? I would be up for the challenge.
