I just bought one second hand and the grinding fineness dial scale doesn't rotate along with the dial.
The plastic gears inside probably have slipped.

Is there anyone that have a schematic/drawing on how to disassemble?

Cheers /Ulf

I just had the same problem with my 4+ year old ProM. The planetary gears in the adjustment mechanism needed to be replaced. Cost me $14 parts and $76.50 labor (U.S.) from Mahlkonig's authorized U.S. service techs (Coffee Fixx in California).

For convenient reference, dpiette send me the PDF and I've uploaded it here: Mahlkönig Pro M Parts Diagram.

One great thing about this grinder is how easy it is to remove the top burr without affecting your grind settings. This allows for a very thorough cleaning with very little effort.

I know many of y'all have had problems with this little guy, but I must have got a good one, as I have had very few problems (as long as I keep it clean) and the quality of the espresso I get from it is outstanding.

People are always looking for grinders that fit under conventional kitchen cabinets -- so why don't these grinders get recommended more often?

And then it committed electrical suicide yesterday. Just ordered a K30 Vario.

Oh well. Four years is the longest I've kept any [EDIT] espresso grinder.
