Mahlkonig grind-by-weight feature to be an add-on

If I am reading Daily Coffee News correctly, the grind-by-weight feature that Mahlkonig just unveiled at HOST in Milan will be an "add on" to existing machines. It is still a work in process, and I am guessing it will not be cheap, but will be interesting to follow as it rolls out.

Sounds kind of similar do Decent Espresso's thing (Decent Doser?) they have going on alongside their new Espresso machine.

I talked to Travis at Malkonig USA yesterday about Peak eta and Grind by Weight feature. He said he thought Grind by Weight would be able to be retrofitted but couldn't guarantee it. He also said it would probably be a year before it was released.

A small amount of Peak Grinders are supposed to arrive later this month. Glad I placed a pre-order really early!
