Macap M7 on sale - Page 5

There's a mis-understanding Jon. The video I watched compared a Le Lit conical to another grinder. It was that Le Lit I meant when I referred to "a less expensive conical grinder" a term I don't think would apply to the M7K.

I hope you're not emotionally attached to the LeLit - it does a very good grinding job at it's price point, as I understand, but it is rather loud, n'est-ce pas?

I remember a lady demonstrating a grain mill to me at a trade show long ago. She talked about what a good job it did with the wheat berries, blah blah woof woof. Then she turned it on. Sounded like an F-14 at take off - not what I'd like to use in my kitchen.

I believe I used the word "lovely" to refer to the M7K. I'd love to have one, but decided the vanilla M7 flat burr was quite enough for the price to get me into Titan land.

Clearer now?

Amazing how things get bent all out of shape in forums sometimes.....

I grabbed a pony clamp and stuck it on the collar nudged up against the right side of the stock pin. Works beautifully.

Hey Bruce

That's a great outcome! Some might say a giant grinder with no hopper on top looks stupid - who's to say the pony looks any worse? As mods go, it sure didn't take you long to "install" it! :D

The prototype. It can also be a place holder as well as a collar handle. ;)

(3/8" cabinet bumper under the clamp pad.)

Down boy, he's referring to this video:

Ahhh, I see. I guess it's a matter of perspective. I consider the M7K a "less expensive conical grinder" compared with the Mazzer Robur, and thus a good value for the money.

LOL - that thing sounds like the LaPavoni PGC (or "MAXIMO")
It's my understanding that they have the same trespade burrs.

Nice grind and it can make good shots but SHEESH - the noise!
