Im wondering is the doser mods well described here for the Mazzer mini would work well for the MACAP M4,

im talking theoretically based on what ever differences there are in taking the M4 doser apart

Do you mean modifications like Improving Mazzer doser efficiency and How to Tame a Messy Mazzer Doser? If so, yes, they're equally applicable to the Macap doser, though the Macap sweeps cleaner than the Mazzer out of the box, so the need for such modifications is questionable.

By the way, if you haven't seen it, check out this nifty Macap-only modification Easy mod for Macap M4 stepless to adjust from espresso to drip on CoffeeGeek.

I can blame it on the last Double-Double, and no, it didnt come from In'N'Out

your ref to the Geeks is a fine one, and might make cleaning the MACAP that much easier

Im still working hard on my grinder choice and this moves the MACAP up a notch!

Simplifying the cleaning process was the main reason I came up with that mod. I only used my M4 for espresso grinding but breaking it down each time I wanted to clean the burr chamber was a major PITA. With the "spring mod" it's as easy to break down as a Mazzer.

The Schectermatic works great on the Macap M4 you just need to make the length of the "cone" a little bit longer because the Macap doser arm is contained within the doser. I added about 1/2 inch to mine.

again your spring mod moves the M4 to my top at the moment

Im not sure by your pic how you put that spring on with the rod.

the machine I really want would be a doserless Clumpless. with a holder for the PF. and easly to clean the chute.

Im wondering about the Compak K3 doserless vs the MC4 doserless (non electronic)
