So I have been playing around with the blind shaker for a few days now and can not get an even extraction. I have a macap m7d and have no trouble getting even extractions when using any other method. I got this because I thought it would be cleaner but my extractions are suffering. Can anyone share exactly what they are doing and there results.

AFter shaking, place it on your basket, remove the lid and pull the plug. Then shake it laterally (with the shaker still on the basket) until it is perfectly level, tap the whole thing on the counter to get the rest of the bits to fall in, then remove the shaker and tamp.

If you still have issues, shake it more. shake it longer. shake it harder. shake it like you've never shaken it before. If it still doesn't produce a good shot, you're not shaking it enough. And if that doesn't help, then send it back for a full refund. LW won't give you sass, the'll take it back if you're not happy.

you mean this part where it says,

"If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your product purchase from the Store, you can return the product(s) within 30 days of purchase ..."

Listen you don't need fine print, they do because not everyone is reasonable.

Thanks for the response y'all. I been giving it a real good shake but I think I figured it out this morning. I just needed to do more leveling shakes once the dose was in the basket.

There is a learning curve for sure, and I'm still on it. When I get it right, I get a level basket of fluffy grounds and excellent extractions. When I don't get it right, I still have to do as much fussing with the basket prep as without the shaker. I've only had it for four days so I'll withhold judgement for now.

Yes that's stated, but I was referring to your mention of a full refund, but it states a "15% restocking fee on all returns".

And the fee I can understand if you just don't like the product, but if it doesn't do what it is advertised to do then it's just plain wrong.

"The Store, and all content available on the Store, is provided on an "as-is" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, without limitation, warranties of title or implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose".

Not at all what I was expecting to see from a high-tech company manufacturing and selling "Precision Barista Tools".

well then maybe you should have read the fine print lol. j/k

Seriously though, if you don't like the policy let them know, and maybe they'll waive the $10 fee one time for you to make you happy. And then you can stick it to them and never buy anything from them again after that in lieu of that policy.
