Hey all.
I've got a buddy whose interested in opening the pandora's box, known as home espresso. Dealers are limited in Canada, as are options. He's trying to stay within $500 as his first machine. I'm suggesting a Gaggia Pure with a La Pavoni Mini Grinder, which will put him just a hair over budget.
Trouble is, other than having the Trespade burr set, I know nothing about this grinder. Anyone have experience/ opinions on this one?

It's good looking, has a stepless adjust, and can be used either with a beaker or direct to PF. As usual, the elephant nose retains grinds and needs to be cleaned.
I like it better than the standard Lux, but it isn't quite as nice (or quiet) as the newer I-mini or Lelit.
As with all Trespade grinders, I recommend it in terms of taste for the buck.
