Even though the burrs seem to be the same for the M47 and the Lido 2 with old burrs, grinding feels a lot easier to me with the M47, no matter the fineness. Effort wise I'd say the M47 is on par with the new Lido 2/3/E burrs while grinding is a bit faster with the Kinu.

Could any owners comment on any differences on flavour in the cup between the M47 and M68 and whether they favour one grinder over the other for espresso?

Thanks in advance

Both are (very) good for espresso. The M68 has slightly more clarity and flavour separation in my opinion. And of course it grinds faster. I use my M68 mainly for espresso and the M47 for slow coffee. But every time I use my M47 for espresso occasionaly I am very pleased with the results. I would say about the same as with the Lido and Pharos duo. Both good but not the same.

By the way I am going to compare the M38 with the M47 soon and will share my opinion here.

I just bought my Kinu M47 with the ideea that i will use my Lelit grinder 43MMI (38mm conical burr) when I will entertain guests.
Not possible, the quality diference is too big between the two.
Definitely, the Lelit will be sold. (And I will have to go to the gym- grinding manually 4 double shots in a row, it's a bit challenging.)

The M68 has got me interested. Any chance for a video giving a good look at it? I am considering getting in on the preorder but there's not a whole lot out there about it at the moment :D

Seems like all projects take longer than originally intended. Any updated info on the M68? Availability, new user reviews, pricing? Thanks

No delay! First batch sold out and delivered already. Second batch will be ready mid January '17. Best to contact Kiny by facebook or mail. Website still under cunstruction. This has their attention but priority is with building the grinders right now. Discount ended Yesterday. The M68 is well received on Kaffeenetz and people are satisfied with the product.

Ps. I am still liking this grinder quite a lot. After about 10 lbs the burrs are prefectly broken in. Very easy turning ams very consistent output. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the update Bas. I'll do some more searching.
