Compatibility of Bunn G-HD series parts with old G series grinders

So I can't find any references on Bunn's websites for the old G series grinders (model # 11250-0002 for example - a black G1 grinder). Does anyone know if the parts listings for the current G series grinders (all HD) such as the 22104-0000, are compatible with the old non-HD grinders? Any other differences/changes that I should know about?
I have the opportunity to purchase the old one cheap, but I want to do a Bunnzilla conversion with the Ditting 804 machined discs and the Trifecta near-stepless dial and brew cup holder. Of course I'd like to know if the older motor isn't as robust or any similar deal breaker that would make such an old grinder more of a risk for reliable future use.
