The EARLIEST I was told the line would hit the states was December... that was about a month ago. February seems more likely since we haven't heard a peep.

I haven't heard anything since they were targeting February. Not sure if that is still the aim.

First they told October, now Feb.. But the price is targeted out of this world high, ive read on some forum that might be in the 4-7k region.

To be fair, the price is not really attached to a release date except in relation to the price of other similar products on the market. Delaying the release shouldn't make it cheaper, it just means they encountered issues with the design or logistic problems in the manufacturing or supply chain.

The price you listed sounds about right though. The PK-R100 seems like it would augment the R120, which is currently priced at 3.6k. They added a rotating spout, fan cooling, and weight measurement/control logic.

I have two hopes: that the RF/RE8 series is priced reasonably and that one of the two is a conical variant.

I see on the Compak website that the PKR, PKF-8 and PKE-8 will be on display at the GLOBAL SPECIALTY COFFEE EXPO in Seattle on April 20-23rd. Anybody planning on visiting? I'd love to see some videos and get some more info on this new line of grinders... :D

More details are available here: http://dailycoffeenews.com/2017/04/26/c ... w-pk-line/

Looks like all 3 models have a new flat and more aggressive burr design; 83mm for the PKF/E8 and 100mm for the PKR100.

220v is starting to ship now, 110v is delayed until September.
