Ceramic slim

Postby robk07 on Wed Dec 30, 2009 4:34 am

Hello,
I just got the ceramic slim coffee grinder. Does anyone know the optimum setting for the burrs when grinding for espresso? I've been noticing my machine getting clogged. I'm using the aluminum Bialetti espresso maker. Any info would be great. Thanks.

No two grinders, even of the same brand, set the same. You set grinders by trial and error. If your last try was too fine, grind coarser the next time.

You should adjust the grind setting by feel; see Fine tuning grinder setting with minimum waste for details. However, keep in mind that your Bialetti is a moka pot, not an espresso machine in the sense discussed in these forums. The grind is coarser for moka pots because the brew pressure is lower than pump-driven/lever espresso machines.
