Casadio Instantaneo is back !

Postby the_deal_maker on Thu Oct 14, 2010 2:35 am

Gentlemen,

according to our German Kaffee-Netz (coffee board) the production company of the Instantaneo grinder (on-demand w/ conical burrs), which has been acquired by Cimbali/ Faema group has restarted its production. Next to the popular Instantaneo grinder the entire production line is included in the following brochure:

Any confirmation that the burrs and motor used are the same as the Cimbali Magnum OD's?
They are rated for the same capacity and both have 47mm burrs.

Can't confirm this but there is a larger Faema grinder, doserless as well and that seems to use the same 47mm conical burrs as the Casadio uses.

Faema is part of the Gruppo Cimbali and the machines look the same. Seems that the conclusion could be that Cimbali bought Casadio for the doserless tech. Still don't know why they didn't convert the Conik/MC99 to doserless as those have got the sweet 68mm conical burrs.
