My Breville Smart Grinder Pro (BCG820BSSXL) has been producing fewer and fewer grounds over the past year. Cleaning does not help. I would say I am getting 40% fewer grounds than a year ago.

I am using a grind size of 52 and 5 cup setting.

Is this normal break-in?

Could it be the result of occasionally using it for espresso and turning the grind size knob without running the grinder enough while turning? If so, how can I detect this condition?

I have not used that grinder by all grinders will slowly shift over time as the burrs ware. I would be surprised if the burrs needed replaced already. Have you disassembled and cleaned it lately?
