I am wondering if there is a break in period with the Baratza Vario. I'm using a triple basket with 20g of beans, bottomless PF. Single dosing using a scale. Reason I ask is I thought I got it dialed in to where I was going to start focusing in on temperature when I started losing it. Meaning it started to blonde and flow relatively fast. 50 g in about 14 seconds and blonded almost immediately. I choked it back about 5 notches just to the point of where I ran out of beans. Figures. However, by this time, the beans were going on two weeks old.

So not sure if there a one or the other or a combination of factors? Thanks!

those stale beans are definitely part of the problem. also, the vario doesn't need more than 5-10 pounds of beans for the grind to start leveling off, if i recall correctly...

So there is a bit of an adjustment period with the Vario? I think i'm at 3 or 4 pounds now.
