I'm fortunate to have a summer place in the NC mountains, to get out of the oppressive summer heat in east central FL. I had taken my gear (a Silvia and Rocky) here home last winter, to pass along to my daughter-in-law. I figured to replace both when we got back to the mountains. After much contemplation, I've ordered an ECM Technika IV and a Forte from 1st Line. They're due to arrive in a couple of days. I'm wondering if there is typically a significant difference in the grind from the Forte after whatever is the usual break-in period? I've looked around in the forums here and not found any specific answer but did read a couple of posts mentioning a break-in period for ceramic burrs - all generalities without any specifics. Has anyone a view as to whether break-in for the Forte is a short or long process, and whether there are significant differences in the cup that settle out over time?
