I got my vario a couple months back when I bought my Silvia, and lately I've been having a hard time getting a nice crema. I was wondering if it was because of how I grind my beans. I've been able to get great crema, but last two batches of beans I've used have given me nothing. I keep my beans in the hopper, but from what I read on the forum a lot of people pre weight their beans.
Can anybody give me step by step instructions on how you grind your beans with the vario?

Thanks

If the blend your using is old you might not get crema. Making sure your beans are fresh is essential. Also weigh your doses and and make sure your flushing and waiting enough time for your silvia to recover. Making sure your routine is consistent is essential also.

Yup.. old beans will do that. And beans get stale very quickly if left in the hopper.
You're not always right, but when you're right, you're right, right?
