Baratza Vario mystery part

I just received my brand new baratza vario grinder. In a separate small cardboard box along with the rest of the parts, there is a heavy round metal part with "finer" stamped in three places on the top. A long thin metal stem extends a few inches down from the top. I may be new to the grinder game but I can't find this part described any place in the manual. Can someone tell me what it is please?

It's the tool they supply for changing the grind calibration. I'm not sure if it's mentioned in the manual.

Thanks for page 8. My manual must be an old one since my page 8 has no mention of this calibration procedure.

I also had the old paper manual with mine.

It includes the new calibration instructions but also how to configure the sleep mode (to turn off the lights/display after some time).
