Baratza Preciso Micro Adjustment

Postby mariobarba on Thu Sep 08, 2011 8:27 pm

Hi there just got a Preciso grinder and have started dialing it in. Unfortunately, my espresso machine does not have a 3 way valve and so pulling shot after shot is both a pain, tedious and a mess. Can anyone advise me on approximately how big a difference in shot time one micro adjustment makes? How about one Macro adjustment?

Just trying to save some time and add some years to my life!!!

My experience with the Preciso says go straight for the macro adjust, otherwise you could be adjusting all day. Get it to about right and finesse with the macro.

I'm generally grinding 8 macro and variable on the micro if you want a starting point. I think that is towards the finer end of the Preciso espresso envelope.

Best of luck.
