Hello. Complete newbie here on espresso machine and grinder. For the last decade, I have gone through a few Nespresso machines. Just recently, I decided on using something better. I am expecting a delivery this Friday of Simonelli Musica Lux and Baratza Forte grinder. I chose these setup after seeing it in action and tasting the output from a small cafe in Europe. I have not personally touch any of these equipment or any espresso equipment. So like I said, this is totally foreign territory for me.
I understand that I need to experiment to get to what is best for me. To get me started, can you post the initial setting for a Forte AP to make a single espresso and double espresso? Thanks.

Each grinder will use a different setting for the same grind.
I have what I would call a matched pair of Forte BG and to get the same grind on both the settings are completely different.
Best bet is to start at what Baratza recommends then work up or down based on your pull time.

You may even have to re-calibrate it to get it fine enough (I did).
