Anyone Familiar with a Tur-Mix 820 Grinder?

Postby mikekarr on Sat Jan 15, 2011 10:15 pm

I'm going to see a purportedly commercial use Tur-Mix 820 grinder tomorrow. I know nothing about this and can find nothing about it anywhere. Anyone here stumble across one of these. Theoretically has a two pound hopper. Seller thinks it might be from Switzerland or Italy and is conical.

Their website lists several espresso machines but I don't see any grinders.

Why yes, it has now become a Turmix E20, apparently the Swiss accent turned the eight to an E for me. Some pictures:

Interesting looking flat burrs. No taste test done as of yet but it runs well. It's not really stepped either.

Looks like a rebadged quickmill.

For the sake of others looking for information on this grinder, I've turned up that this one may be a rebadged Saeco M2002.

By extension, they have 43 mm flat burrs, according to the Cafeparts listing.
