While I upgrade my machines... splice in a fuse (PID or otherwise )?

Need advice about equipment or want to share your latest discovery?

Should I bother splicing in a fuse to my Isomac / Expobar - since I'll be taking things apart? Part of me says that could be a good idea, as Water+Electricity makes me think overcurrent protection would be a good idea. Another part of me says that if i electrocute myself, i probably won't be drawing any overcurrent.

I obviously don't know any electrical engineering- hoping someone here can chime in.

You could just use a gfci outlet, I think I would trust that more than a spliced in fuse.

It is recommended to install an inline fuse on the power supply to your PID.... Google up 'Silvia PID fuse' and you'll get some hits like this one here on CG.
