I have a great Rancilio Silvia, and I love how the cups look on top. Call me dense, but I can't figure out where the saucers should be stored. I want them as near to the machine as the cups are, without just sitting them on the counter. Any advice?

If your Silvia is on the counter, keep the saucers in the cabinet above it.

I drink an espresso so quickly that I never bother with saucers except for guests. Although I've got more than 20 cups at my station, I only have a few saucers in the cupboard. The remainer are stored in the basement in their original boxes.

I recommend putting them in the cupboard in between the salad and the butter plates. I will be happy to assist you with any other kitchen organization questions, for my customary fee of $125/hr.

But that means moving the dessert plates, so where do they go now? (The check is in the mail. )

My saucers are at the back of my cup cupboard, in a tall, teetering stack. I wish I had the style to use saucers on a regular basis, but as it turns out only guests get them. I think it better to serve with saucers.

Well, I'm a "serve to the brim" kind of guy, so I need my saucers (or a floor mop). My Silvia/Rocky/Stand is on an island, so no cabinet space above... I think a "standing saucer stand" will do the job. Thanks for your replies, to the $125/hr guy, I need advice on my demitasse spoons now, I assume this will require 4 hours of your time?

I use this little rack my wife got somewhere. It holds all 12 cap saucers + 6 espresso saucers.

...not to mention demi spoons in a small glass.

We nearly always use saucers except often if it is for an espresso just for me, I, like Dan, will such it down too fast to have the saucer do anything other than sit on the counter whilst I gulp the nectar.

That is awesome! Exactly what I wanted to see. I'm off to a few home stores today to find a similar one, thanks!
