Mine comes from an utter lack of creativity when first registering on another site years ago... It seems there were 6 equally uncreative r-gordon's already there ahead of me...

we used to play a lot of marathon infinity and quake 3 on the LAN. i would use either rumpledforeskin or regulatorjohnson. rumpledforeskin is a stupid sounding word and regulatorjohnson is a name of a trail at snowbird utah. so i had a choice between rumpledforeskin and regulatorjohnson.

arent ya glad i went with regulatorjohnson?

hey lets all get together for some online fraggin'.. a barista clan perhaps??

Years ago when I still had time to goof off, there was a guy I would run into on unreal tournament that had the screen name of 'a sack of kittens' (or was it puppies?), I thought that was odd. Then one day I snipe'd him, the screen announcement pops up "Cannonfodder just fragged a sack of kittens!" I laughed so hard I fell off the tower.

Kuban111

Well like some I was registering on CG and had to come up with a name.

A word play on my birth place and 111..... Well let's just say it's easy to remember. :P

Pulling shots is easier than remembering login names on forums.

My family is/was very much into music, and everybody at home played, amongst others, the piano (we had three: two grand pianos, one normal  ). I am the youngest of four, so you can imagine that everybody was better at it than me. So what was left for me?
After playing numerous musical scales and classical pieces by Mozart, Mendelsohn, Clementi, and God knows who, every now and then I would invent "a famous Russian Master" and go totally crazy and loose on the piano in this very modern, atonal idiom. The name of this Master Composer was "Spironski" (it sounded enigmatic and exotic to me :D )
So in a way Spironski is my alter ego, my wilder part, my Hyde...

And of course I am almost sure I can use this name for login in, as it doesn't really exist, as far as I know.

Nothing creative here.
My initials are vs and I usually drink double-shots... :|

On CG I got Brownwater. Another brainstorm. :|

Maybe I'm saving all my cleverness for something big. Yeah, that's it.

Mine is really boring, just a shortening of my name last name, that's I've had as a nick-name since I was in primary school.
I don't know if it's just an Australian thing, or does everyone tend to get nick-names that ends in either 'y' or 'o'?

Coffee stands for love and Owl stands for wisdom (specialy the wisdom to gain :D ).
Contrary, I admire birds very much, specially the powerful wild ones, and among them owls for seeing in the dark and quiet flying - so owl stands for beauty and love and coffee for some experiental wisdom already learned. :)
In the end both combine together and resemble the spiritual perfection, in which I believe and which I trust, of wisdom and love, which I try to ripe and bring into my life.

It is a play off one of the most famous events here in Boston, but also I believe life should be fun and not super serious all the time.

jamhat = first syllables from my first and last name - James Hathaway. It's a screen name I've used for a while.

Heck yeah!

All I've played lately though is Counter Strike 1.6, a tad bit of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars and mostly Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory (which is a good one for groups because it's free, has low hardware requirements and is a lot of fun). I've also played F.E.A.R. Combat a couple of times which is also a free online multiplayer shooter. As soon as I have some money that I feel like blowing on a $50 game I'm going to buy Call of Duty 4. That's an awesome game. I just built a high-end PC that can run any game...it's about time I started taking advantage of it.

Then why aren't you giving a similar lecture to every one in this thread talking about screen names and the other people talking about video games? The whole thread has nothing to do with coffee nor baristas to begin with so please spare US the lectures.

See the link in my post before the gaming post. That's pretty much it. I've been a fan since I was about 7 years old.

A2 is the local shorthand for Ann Arbor, where I live. And as us lever-heads know, the chrome peacock is a respectful knickname for the La Pavoni Europiccola. I should probably be A2chromepeacock#3, as my two close friends--and their respective europicollas--introduced me to espresso a few years ago.
