It would be most useful to flag a thread to get email notification for new posts without the need to post a message to the thread.

Of course when the thread devolves into inanities, an UnWatch facility would be appreciated The current unwatch mechanism should suffice.

You don't need to reply to receive notifications. Both watch and unwatch are part of the standard phpBB package. Look for the link Watch this topic for replies or Stop watching this topic at the bottom / left of the thread.

How about moving it above the Un Related Topics and making it a type size BOFs can read...
