Volex Coffee Break

Has anyone tried one of these? The application is obvious. I'm fortunate to work near my home, so I shoot back to my place for lunch and coffee, but there are times when I am on the road, and can't get my afternoon fix. I realize it's moka at best, but my biggest question is does it make good coffee? ie does it brew it at the right temp? I have a hand crank grinder so no issue with grinding. Also, quality? Is this thing gonna fall apart on me? They're running for ~$70-75. The next option is an electric kettle and pour over, I found a couple of 12V kettles, here's one of them: http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/12voscarpot.html
