The GS-3 machine doesn't go into production until the end of 2006, so the US market will not see any machines until the beginning of 2007. The cost will be $4,500. Because they have not produced these before, they do not know how the long the production time will be. Therefore, no one really knows how many machines will be in the first batch. This isn't a rumor.

They had problems with your NSF-standard and will start this fall (in Firenze). First batch will be delivered in EU within this year (2006). I guess you guys in the US have larger production capacities...

Chris,

I live in Canada and have had a GS/3 for a few months. On reading your review, there were a few points I on which I would like some clarification.

First, I would like to thank you for your comprehensive review. I persuaded me to purchase the GS/3 and I have been extremely happy I did. Now, some questions.

1. What is a rotary 'vane flutter' profile and how is it detected?
2. What does 'low water debt' refer to on the GS/3?
3. Have you changed any of your thoughts about the GS/3 since doing your review?

Does this mean the GS/3 has already been released in Canada?

Following the NSF Link a few posts up, it appears that the GS/3 has been added as of the September 30th Update!

Indeed, it is listed under NSF category Fully Automatic Coffee Machine, not Commercial Espresso Machine. No idea of what to make of that distinction. Wouldn't a drip coffee maker fit under that same category? :?
