has this not popped up before? on the lever forum??

visually there is much to like here... reminds me of my favourite La San Marco machines of yesteryear... not so sure about the pointy top of the front panel / shield... my only initial gripe... but easy to wipe down.... certainly a more daring design than the modern boxes I deplore. And it is from Naples- the homeland of lever espresso.

Yes, someone did post it on the lever-for-my-cottage thread. It's one of those dream machines. But I'm still in love with my little Sama Lusso.

And it is made by Antonio Nurri who was involved in the Izzo "my way" project.

His new machine beside the "la Vela" is the "Colloseum"

Beautiful example of form follows function.

Here is some more info about the "La Vela".

we started to accept order for La Vela (but probably its official name will be VENTUM). Hereby its technical details:

Full body, hand shaped, made of stainless 304 steel

5 litre stainless steel boiler double insulated

Dipper pipe directly into boiler, no pump.

dipper pipe into boiler

2000W Boiler's element

Boiler cleaning waste gate

Standard outfit: 1x porter filter 2 spouts, 1x porter filter 1 spouts, 1x naked porter filter, 3x steam tips, tamper, instruction book.

The box containing the machine is made foldable wood see pic (please consider that pictures have been made on inner prototype beta test machine).

We are going to add something more to its base equipment: a brash, a small espresso cups stand, a wooden box containing all the accessories...etc.

And a very special logo made by copper will complete the machine.

We also thinking about a customized knockout drawer but this will came after the show and priced.

The temperature measured on top of the boiler's cover is of +/- 40 °C with a room temperature of about 30 °C.

Two questions.

If they are starting to accept orders, is a price available?

What am I looking at in the second pic?

Thanks, Frank.

They are giving huge discounts of up to 40% when purchasing 4 machines (2100€ each)
2 machines 20% off and 1 single purchase is around 3100€ or so

It is the side view of the isolated boiler.
There is an exibition in Cologne called Anuga, I might have a look at the "Ventom" next week.

I have no need for his at home, but I would be very pleased if a local cafe were to install one. :)
