Hi there,

I'm the proud owner of a PV Export and am just getting properly acquainted with it.

I was under the impression that the steam wand was fixed however, my steam wand moves up and down. Is this the case for others? Am I damaging the seal/valve inside the wand by moving it? I have been moving it up to bleed off the false pressure and back down again to steam the milk.

Many thanks.

That means that the locking nut is not fully tightened. You should find the angle that you like best and tighten the nut.

With just a little practice you'll find the fixed-position wand is still great for steaming - you just need to position the pitcher in the correct place.

Thanks PC. I was hoping you could shed some light here! Your yearly reviews of the Export helped convince me to buy one :D

The positioning of the wand doesn't bother me but it was handy to move it when I was bleeding the false pressure off.

Thanks again!
