Hi

I'm in the middle of rebuilding a pre-milenium LP p16, one of the down sides was the heating element "death"

I was looking for some non OEM options to avoid 150$ xDD and i finally found this

http://www.spanglefish.com/avicennassol ... eid=243553

I make some modifications to keep a little part of the old resistor because I don't have welding machine

First I cut the old element,

Then and very carefully I drill the 10mm holes using of course different sizes of drills ( 2, 4 , 6 , 8 , 10 )

I use some power control unit to reduce the RPM of the driller to avoid deformations on the holes.

now Its time to clean everything and mount the new one :P

And some leak and temperature tests

And heating element DONE ! !

1.0 Bar Perfect ! !

I've read lot's but until I burned myself I cant believe how HOT it gets ! !

Now I'm waiting for the new brass piston to complete the full gasket upgrade ;-)

Thank's guys for this outstanding forum

nice work! keep us posted on the long-term reliability of the seals at the bottom of the heating element.
