That's a great-looking shnozz you got there. ;-)

Nice job Andy! I'm curious any reason why the funnel has to slope towards the end? I put a chute on my Mazzer last year and mine doesn't slope (its straight sided). Have you tried a straight sided chute? Is there any difference?

Here is mine:

I don't think it has to slope. At first I used a straight-sided chute, but lately I find the conical chute gives neater, waste-free dosing.

Thanks, that really makes for less mess when grinding, and i have my settup on my desk so less mess is better.

That's not a funnel in the video (is it?) It looks like a flat deflector of some sort. What is it? Great Idea!

Why can't someone make a nice little chrome version of the deflector shown here to attach to the 2 front bolts on the Super Jolly doser and sell in at Espressoparts?

Please Santa?

thank you for this great idea.

fwiw i was opening a xmas calendar gift this am, and the tube package it came in seems to be a perfect raw material for this. 1 3/8" nominal size. 1.4" OD. Solid fit. No tape or glue. And it actually looks pretty good in the grinder. Just cut them to length on a bandsaw. I expect you can cut them w/any number of tools.

a source: http://www.petropackaging.com/open_end_tubes.cfm

Here's an example source for the calendar (about a dozenish schectermatics worth) ...

Thanks again. This makes my dose technique more consistent.

Speedster, three phase Robur. Jeeze Andy I hate to ask what the tricked out Silvia does :!:

Nice equipment Andy! :)

Is it true the 3 Phase Robur has different burrs than the other versions?

NVM, I found it 71 vs 83
