That depends on the location of the kanockulator pin. It varies from grinder to grinder based on the phase of the moon at the time of assembly. Now I need to work on that trans phase Freon converter (ice machine), where did that acetylene cutter go....AndyS wrote:Dave:
Thanks for your support! I hadn't thought about the global warming angle, but obviously (!), the Shnozzola can solve that problem, too.
Oh yeah....about your grinder's kanickulator valve: is it left-handed, right-handed, or universal?

I installed the Schectermatic Schnozzinator yesterday and gave it the first go this AM. It works great. While I was at it I also removed the PF fork from the Kony which also helps quite a bit giving the ability to move the portafilter round more freely. Thanks Andy!
I am headed to town this weekend to get a small sheet of unobtanium to make a permanent Schectermatic!

There was a study published recently about the enviromental hazards of lazer printers. The particulates are worse than LA smog. Not all toner is fused to the paper and some may end up in the coffee... hmmmRandy G. wrote:Very nice, Andy.
The printed page should have a legal disclaimer something in the nature of:
"This page must be printed on a laser printer. If printed on an inkjet printer, small amounts of ink can be transferred to the coffee if the coffee possesses a high moisture content which can taint the flavor and/or cause death. Printing this page constitutes a binding contract and releases Andy Schecter from any and all liability. Do not backflush."

I use a bottomless, which of course allows the pf to move around easily. Years ago, before I had the bottomless, I made a little plate from silver-painted 1/4" plywood that offset the fork about 3/8" to the left. This helped the grounds to fall into the center of the pf.

i like this.
i used a glue stick instead of tape. you can slide it around before it dries for perfect placement. i also recommend loading the device from above.
i also recommend putting a sticky backed felt or rubber pad where the doser handle hits against the stop. makes that doser clackity clak almost tolerable.
thanks for your time.
enjoy.
