I'll have a Euro 2000 in my hands tomorrow. Does anyone on here own one? I don't know a lot about them but the deal was just too good to pass on and it turned out to be a local sale.

Thanks for your bits of wisdom.

Actually, we have had one in the warehouse for better than 5 years and it gets a lot of use. Replaced a few bits and pieces over the years; you will have to replace the fitting gaskets on the PRV, vacuum valve and solenoid before too long.

Its the machine we used to make the espresso using the 300 pound tamp.

I've never seen one live but here are some pics and a short description of some components from someone who does/did own one:

Looks a lot like Isomac's I've seen - certainly same boiler manufacturer (COMEA).

Your Euro 2000 must be the one that was posted on the Bay Area Craigslist.

Mr. Espresso in Oakland was the direct importer when they were new and they are still a source for parts, service and information. Ask for Alex.

If you need parts and you are nearby it is worth the drive to Oakland because their showroom is also a "museum" for their remarkable collection of vintage espresso machines.

Regards,

Bruce

I don't know if the above information is still valid,
I hope it is for you
recently I contacted the manufacturer personally (since I had to repair one of the units)
calling in Italy and speaking with the owner
and I was told that they don't have anybody in good standing in the US that carries their parts
good luck

Joe at Caffetech (www.caffetech.com) used to sell the Euro, and may still have some parts/stock.

Would be shipping from Canada though....

Yes, I own one (two, actually...I'm refurbishing one, while the other is my daily use machine).

I'm quite happy with it. A full line of spare parts is available from Cafetech in Canada, but I'd love to find a local (US) supplier for "soft" parts (ie., gaskets, o-rings, seals).

I've got the contact info for a couple of other Euro 2000 owners, and may even start a mailing list for the brand. I expect that the list would be very, very, very low-traffic.

Wow! Thanks to everyone for chipping in. You guys are much help!
Yes, this was listed on SF CL. The machine is actually here in Sacramento but as the seller pointed out, nobody responds on CL here ( maybe because nobody has a job here) and he's quite correct even if he was only asking a few hundred bucks for it. Many thanks for the tip about Cafetech in Edmonton. I'm moving back to B.C. in August :D so the Canadian parts lead works.
I will check out Mr. Espresso in Oakland for sure before I move. I made sure to get to Thomas Cara LTD. and that was a treat, sure 'nuff.
I would be into a Euro 2000 thread especially once I'm set up back home.
Again, thanks everybody. Your posting are mighty helpful.

I have had many espressos from Michael (and Angelo's) warehouse machine and can testify that, in their capable hands, it produces a drinkable shot, even from the bargain basement coffees they inflict on it. I am sure it could do wonderful things with quality beans.
