Agreed: what a fun, informative, and tasty afternoon! Rafael, thank you for hosting and providing such an inviting environment for all of us to convene and chat. I second the call to do this again sooner rather than later. Everyone, it was quite a pleasure to meet you today!

+3. Thanks so much, everyone! Had a blast and wish I could have stayed longer.

Lots of fun guys! Great food, great coffee and a wonderful time talking about coffee!

It was ice to meet new faces and it was lot of fun. There were many different coffees and machines to play with. We did demos of drum roasting, air roasting and heat gun roasting (Allon, at the end - very good). Allon did excellent shots all day long. With so much coffee, my mind played me a joke and I was turning the adjustment of the K10 grinder to coarse instead of finer. I was blaming the basket/coffee je je.

Thank you all for participating/collaborating and hope to see you again.

Cheers

The recipe for the desert was identical to this one:

But I used a kitchen knife to flatten the 'dough' into squares instead of using a cup to make round shapes.

LOL. That explains the gushers.

Thanks for hosting.

Thanks to Arpi for hosting and to everyone for their contributions to such a great coffee event.

Being able to directly experience coffee roasting, grinding, and brewing from the many different machines and personal perspectives was a uniquely educational, a lot of fun, and most definitly a buzz.

Also thanks to Allon for "it is not the number of variables but how they interact!" and his late afternoon demonstration of hand roasting.

Cheers
