I went to barefoot coffee's latte art class last night and it was excellent. Very cool people and a great teacher. Ive went to both the espresso and latte class and they have been helpful for a newbie like me. Ive you are in the bay area and need some help with either pulling shots or pouring art check out their FREE classes. Best coffee shop in my area!

Excellent. It's very cool of them to offer their classes for free. Most shops charge quite a bit for these types of classes.

I wouldn't mind checking out their classes, but it's hard to justify driving three hours to go to one, even if it is free.

Hi, I was there too. They have several classes. Mondays they alternate between the latte art class and home espresso classes. They also have coffee brewing classes but I can't remember when. They use to have coffee cupping / tastings on Saturday mornings but those may have moved over to the roastery when they moved the roaster out of the cafe. Not sure. I have to agree, it's a great coffee shop.

If you feel very strongly you can vote them in best of the bay:

I was there last night also. There was a large HB contingent. Elaine was a lot of fun and I learned some tricks. Now, to figure out how to get more steam power from my Duetto :)

Dang, I keep wanting to get down there for the class and end up forgetting. :( I've got to get beyond the simple leaf patterns. :D At least my Elektra T1 is never short on steam.

I was there yesterday afternoon picking up a box of Chemex filters and a couple straight shots (Sweetness and Edlyna), but was too early to think about staying for the class.

The coffee brewing classes are Tuesdays at 6:00 according to their menu board and they have a Google Calendar that has more info on their site.

The Edlyna is great now - I remember having good luck with it a couple of years ago, then less so for a little while, and now it seems to be dead on for espresso again.
