Try using Oxyclean Free instead of the JoeGlo. I've found it does a much better job of cleaning the filters. I store mine dry in a cupboard after the O/F cleaning then I use each filter once & reclean.Sam21 wrote: Every week or so, usually on the weekends, I will soak both filters in a hot water/JoeGlo bath for 30-60 minutes, rinse them thoroughly, and put them back in the fridge. I've been using the same Woodneck cloth for 4 months now using this routine. The filters never return to their original color fully, but they impart no off flavors to the brew.

How do you prepare coffee for a group? I attend several meetings a week and I like to donate my home roasted stuff. While I get kudos, I am disappointed in the brew. Talk about puckology - when I look at the grounds after a pot has been made I can see that some of the grounds haven't even gotten wet. I am interested in the methods others use. It could be I'll just have to accept this as it's still better coffee than we usually have.
