Alternatives for wife: Aeropress? Technivorm? Other?

For whatever reason, I am unable to get my wife to work with my S1, V2 or Cremina.
I need an alternative for her to operate when I am not at home.
Would be nice if it worked pretty well with Espresso beans - since I always have some of those on hand.
She loves my cappuccinos made from either machine.
I have no clue and limited knowledge - what might be the best shot for something to that she might enjoy.
I have a Super Jolly I can put to grinder usage
An Aeropress?
I only mention that because I saw an article on how to use one.
Or maybe a TECHNIVORM KNOCKOFF?

Or something you know that might be better?

The benefits of the Aeropress:
- unbreakable
- easy to use
- makes a great cup over a wide range of preparation parameters
- faster to prepare than it takes to boil the water.
About the only negative is that it only makes one serving at a time, but it does so very quickly, so she could make drinks for a friend or two with little additional effort.
If she likes milk-based drinks, get a battery-operated frother and she is set.

Hi Ken:
If you are going to go with the aeropress, you should check out these alternative instructions:
Here is a link to Klaus Thompsen's updated instructions for the "inverted" method of the Aeropress: http://coffeecollective.blogspot.com/20...chive.html
I just discovered the aeropress, and here is a note about my experience with it from an earlier post: Copenhagen: Coffee Collective

I find that my wife likes it best when I do it, rather than she. Just like how her sandwiches always seem better than mine, even though they have the same stuff on them. So unless your arm is attached it probably won't see much use.
If you insist though, for passable shots and milk, check out the Nespresso capsules.

How about a clever coffee dripper? My husband didn't want to mess with the espresso machine either, but now he makes his own coffee with the ccd.

Am I the only one that read the thread title as if the OB wanted to trade the wife for an aeropress or technivorm lol?

Yea! While I believe that what makes any coffee appliance good is the "bond" that can develop between you and the device, the Clever Coffee Dripper is pretty darn versatile. How about a clever coffee dripper?
