There is no espresso supply store in NYC. We buy over the internet... Some coffee shops sell some random stuff but nothing as professional as a tamp mat or temp strip.
I know you're in Canada and it sucks with the shipping and custom, but if you stay somewhere that can get deliveries, maybe you can order and then take it from there.

If you're driving, Chris Coffee in Albany. Going through Albany however it is higher tolls on the thruway and is longer-I81 to Binghamton NY 17 from there. You can stop at Cafe Kuban in Syracuse for a cup, they must sell some small equipment.

Unfortunately, they didn't have any cafelat the last time I went over.
Here is another picture of their equipment rack. (These are the only shelves with equipment)

They have a mirage espresso machine. Might be worth visiting just to see that!

+1, but I know Chris requires an appointment to view the machines, so I'd assume the same for any equipment to be safe.iginfect wrote:If you're driving, Chris Coffee in Albany. Going through Albany however it is higher tolls on the thruway and is longer-I81 to Binghamton NY 17 from there.
Write to your Congressman. Even if he can’t read, write to him.

If you know what you want to buy, no appointment needed. I once viewed their showroom alone while waiting for my Vetrano which was repaired. They do sell Cafelat, you can view online their line of merchandise.
