Nik you may want to try the espresso beans from the roaster on Granville island - Origins. I also have an Oscar and am getting the best results from their beans.

Origins? Can you only buy their beans on site or do they sell them elsewhere? I'm around commercial drive.

I think you have to get them on Granville island. And it is not easy to find them open except for during office hours. They do not have any hours on there doors. They are a roaster near the hotel. originscoffee.com
I have not seen them in any stores.

The stock NS basket is so shallow that simply switching to a stock LM double basket should be sufficient. My experience with stuffing a triple into the NS pf is that it doesn't quite seat properly, and some of the holes on the perimeter are pressed against the inner bottom of the pf.

Like your mention that some hole should be conner and don't get enough space to release the coffee ,the triple with STD PF don't getter better taste, maybe NF should be better.

Use a stock LM double basket. It made a big difference when we used a Simonelli.

Hi Barry
Do you have more information about LM double basket?
Do LM mean La Marzocco ?

By the way, I can't create microfoam milk with use 4 hole spray nozzles in OSCAR.
Only use 2 wood head of toothpick to plug into 2 hol of steam hole, I can.
Do this problem only happen on me? Or every one change 2 hole spray nozzles directly ?
Hope some one can reply me
Thanks

Craig, I picked up some Origins at ECM on 1st. They have a shelving rack full of popular roaster's beans. I also picked up a small bag of black cat. Expensive stuff! I like the Origins so far.

Tom, I have plugged 2 of my 4 holes in the Oscar with MUCH improved frothing.

Hi Nixter
Thank for your reply.
If you don't reply I will guess only me plugged 2 of my 4 holes.
Do you know any one can use Oscar 4 hole to frothing mile very well?
I feel Oscar with 4 hole is too hard for frothing
