What baskets are you guys using on your Zodiaco group machines?

My Lambro is waiting for me at home and I want to have everything ready when I get back.

Any recommendations for a bottomless portafilter?

Yeah. I guess I was wondering if there was anyone who would recommend IMS/VST over EPHQ or OEM, triple over double etc.

Sorry, I misunderstood. In my opinion zodiacos don't need any kind of modern filter system, they makes delicious espressi with a classical filter, and in my opinion the best I ever tasted, compared to any kind of modern machines....

Most Lambro guys dose low, around 14gr.
For a low dose i like the espressoparts hq 14 grs:

For a higher dose I still like the old La Marzocco double basket.

The baskets with a large holes-area, like the VST are not very popular for levers, although I have a coffee at the moment that does very well with the VST 14gr.

Also very helpful. What's the max dose in the 14g?

I use almost exclusively VSTs. 15g and 18g sizes depending on the dose I am going for. My dose range is between 13 to 18 depending on the coffee. I am not the only "Lambro group" user I know that prefers VSTs. They are simply a better basket for any 58mm group when dealing with medium and light roasts. If however you plan on sticking with Italian roasts, then I would suggest any standard double which accepts a 14g dose. I personally use the IMS Competizione basket for darker or Italian Roasts, but the Faema basket should work just fine.

As far as a bottomless portafilter goes, espresso parts sells a replica vintage Faema portafilter and will convert it to bottomless for you as an extra service. It's nice to have a bottomless that matches the rest of the aesthetics of your machine.

And don't forget to get the handle with it https://www.espressoparts.com/faema-ori ... ter-handle

And welcome to the vintage Faema lever club!

Thanks for the welcome and advice, was just reading your post about the portafilter from a thread last year. (Actually was just adding those parts to my cart)!

What diameter tamper are you using with the vst's?
