Hello friends,
Does anyone have any experience with shipping packed, roasted ground coffee overseas?
My meaning is, when shipping a container loaded with cartons of the above coffee, for apprx 3 weeks in sea, does the container needs to be cooled/ refrigerated, etc.? (coffee is packed in aluminum foiled retail packs).
What do I need to bear in mind with this kind of transit, in order to avoid any damage to the coffee inside the container.
Thanks in advance!

The lifespan (prime time) of roasted coffee cannot survive the three weeks of shipping when stored in the common retail bags. If frozen in dry ice, the shipping cost would soon exceed the value of the coffee, and thus it's economically prohibited. Not to mention the ground coffee.
As a general rule of thumb to estimate the prime times: green bean 15-months, roasted bean 15-days, and ground coffee 15-minutes.
