Pre-infusion on semi-auto E61 - any ideas?

Dear All!
I have an ECM Veneziano A1, with volumetric control buttons and rotary pump. This is my first prosumer machine, so I could really use some help, suggestions with the following problem.
As I found out, the semi-auto E61 machines sacrificed the pre-infusion chamber (the lever action machines have) for the solenoid valve (correct me if I'm wrong), so the pressure builds up almost immediately. I'm using WDT with bottomless portafilter, getting acceptable shots with few channeling, but missing pre-infusion.
I'm living in Europe and already asked around in the community back home, but I would like to ask a wider audience, see if you guys have any solution to install any aftermarket device, that can help with pre-infusion.
(PS: english is my second language, so sorry if I misspelled something )

Here is a good thread to get started: What the heck is a gicleur-jet for?!?
Many of us have replaced the E61 group jet for a .5mm size to provide for a more gentler preinfusion. Under dosing a basket can provide for more preinfusion time as well.
