Thanks. Your circlip is almost a complete circle and have small holes to accept a tool. Mine is only about 270 degrees of arc, so it's easier to remove by merely pushing.

Yes, my clips don't have those holes on the end so carefully pushing it off with a piece of wood makes sense.

no snap ring needed on those. use wood. it works a charm
