Is there not a generic 58.5 or OE tamper that sells the same base (don't care about the custom handle because I want to order custom wood) for way less than $139 or the $179 for a VST/Pullman? I really like the flat tapered tamper from La Marzocco, but really only want the stainless steel base w/o wood and desire to spend half what LM wants.

I've searched the forums and can not find a thread on this. Surprised. Please point me to the thread if it exists.
